PAGASA’s regional forecast issued at 5:00 AM on September 29, 2026 says, Northern Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized weather systems. This daily outlook indicates that while no major storm systems are currently threatening the region, localized thunderstorms may still bring sudden, brief downpours. Temperatures across the northern provinces are expected to range from 25°C to 33°C.

For the province of La Union, predicted temperatures will hover between 25°C and 32°C. Winds in the province will blow light to moderate from the north to northeast, creating slight to moderate coastal conditions. These conditions mean generally safe waters for local fishers and beachgoers in coastal areas like San Fernando and San Juan, though sudden localized thunderstorms can still cause brief disruptions.

Meanwhile, neighboring Pangasinan is under a more active weather advisory. PAGASA issued Thunderstorm Advisory No. 19, warning of moderate to occasionally heavy rainshowers, lightning, and strong winds in several areas, including:

  • Alaminos City, Bani, and Agno
  • Sual, Lingayen, and Binmaley
  • Dagupan City, Anda, and Bolinao

Residents living along mountain slopes in these affected northern areas have been advised to monitor for potential hazards such as landslides, mudslides, rockslides, and flash floods. Currently, no heavy rainfall warnings or active tropical cyclones are in effect for the region. The next scheduled weather outlook update from the regional office is set for release on September 30, 2026.
