Tropical Depression Krovanh Brings Rains Across Northern Luzon
La Union still faces potential landslides and flash floods as Habagat rains persist.

The outer edge of Tropical Depression Krovanh and the HABAGAT combined are bringing cloudy skies, scattered rains, and thunderstorms across Northern Luzon on September 9, 2026, PAGASA says. It brings light to moderate, and at times heavy, rains across the region triggering warnings for flash floods and landslides.
In La Union, the weather system has prompted localized warnings for almost all municipalities. According to the advisory, the affected local areas are divided into two groups:
- Currently experiencing rains (persisting for 2 to 3 hours): Agoo, Aringay, Bagulin, Bauang, Burgos, Caba, Naguilian, Pugo, Rosario, City of San Fernando, San Juan, Santo Tomas, and Tubao.
- Expecting rains within the next 2 to 3 hours: Bacnotan, Balaoan, Bangar, Luna, San Gabriel, Santol, and Sudipen.
Other provinces in the region, including Ilocos Sur, Pangasinan, Benguet, and Abra, are also experiencing similar weather conditions.
