Northern Luzon Expects Isolated Rainshowers and Warm Weather

According to PAGASA in its regional forecast issued at 5:00 PM on June 30, 2026, Northern Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over the next 24 hours due to localized weather systems. The state weather bureau reported that regional temperatures will range from 25°C to 34°C, accompanied by light to moderate winds blowing from the southeast.
For the province of La Union and neighboring areas in the Ilocos Region, these localized thunderstorms may bring brief, sudden rain showers, particularly in the afternoon or evening. Local coastal waters are expected to remain slight to moderate, which generally allows for safe maritime activities, though mariners should remain alert during sudden wind gusts.
The extended five-day weather outlook indicates that these warm conditions will persist across La Union from Tuesday through Saturday. Daily temperatures in the province are projected to hover between 25°C and 34°C, with light to moderate southeast winds continuing to influence the coastal and inland areas.
While no heavy rainfall warnings are currently active for La Union, PAGASA has issued active thunderstorm advisories for the eastern parts of Northern Luzon, including Cagayan and Isabela. The weather bureau advises the general public to continue monitoring daily updates for any sudden changes in local weather patterns.
