Northern Luzon Faces Isolated Rainshowers and Light Winds

According to PAGASA, Northern Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms on June 23, 2026, due to localized weather systems. The state weather bureau reported that temperatures in the region will range from 24°C to 33°C with light to moderate winds blowing from the northwest. Coastal waters across the northern seaboards are expected to remain slight to moderate, posing no immediate threat to major maritime activities.
In La Union, local communities and fisherfolk can expect calm to moderate sea conditions as wind directions shift from northwest to southwest later in the week. The PAGASA Regional Services Division indicated that while thunderstorms are less likely to develop in nearby Ilocos Norte, localized thunderstorms may still bring brief rainshowers to towns across the province during the afternoon or evening.
The extended weather outlook for the week shows temperatures hovering between 24°C and 32°C through Friday. Winds will transition to a southwest direction by Wednesday, maintaining a light to moderate speed. Coastal conditions in the province’s beach tourism areas, including San Juan, are projected to transition from slight to moderate, requiring standard safety precautions for small seacraft.
Currently, PAGASA has issued no heavy rainfall warnings for the region. Local disaster risk reduction offices continue to monitor daily updates to ensure public safety amid shifting wind patterns.
