Northern Luzon Forecast Predicts Isolated Rainshowers

According to PAGASA in its 5:00 AM bulletin on June 22, 2026, Northern Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized weather systems. The state weather bureau reported that temperatures in the region will range from 24°C to 33°C, accompanied by light to moderate winds. All Thunderstorm Advisories over forecast areas are now terminated. However, all are still advised to continue monitoring for updates.

In La Union, coastal and farming communities can expect daily temperatures to hover between 24°C and 33°C. Winds will blow primarily from the northwest at light to moderate speeds, resulting in slight coastal waves that are generally safe for local fishermen and maritime activities.

Although PAGASA officially terminated Thunderstorm Advisory No. 5 at 4:43 AM, disaster risk reduction offices in the province still advise residents in mountainous areas to remain vigilant. Precautionary measures are highly recommended to protect lives and property against potential localized hazards such as flash floods, landslides, and mudslides during sudden afternoon downpours.

The extended five-day outlook for the Ilocos Region indicates that the warm yet unstable weather pattern will persist. Temperatures are projected to remain between 25°C and 33°C through Thursday, with wind directions shifting from the northeast to the southwest by Wednesday afternoon.
