PAGASA Forecasts Isolated Rainshowers Across Northern Luzon
La Union residents can expect warm temperatures and slight to moderate coastal waters

According to PAGASA, Northern Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms on June 18, 2026, due to localized weather systems. The state weather bureau issued the regional forecast at 5:00 AM, advising the public of brief rain periods despite generally warm daytime temperatures.
In La Union and neighboring provinces in the Ilocos Region, temperatures are expected to range from a low of 25 degrees Celsius to a high of 33 degrees Celsius. Localized thunderstorms may bring sudden, short-duration rainfall, particularly in the afternoon or evening.
Coastal waters along the province will remain slight to moderate, making conditions generally safe for local maritime activities. Winds are forecast to blow from the southeast to northwest at light to moderate speeds.
The extended outlook for the week indicates that the warm weather pattern will persist. Daily temperatures are expected to hover between 25 and 33 degrees Celsius through the weekend, with winds transitioning to the southwest by Sunday.
While no heavy rainfall warnings are currently active for the region, PAGASA advises the public to remain alert for sudden weather changes. A separate thunderstorm watch was issued for nearby Ilocos Norte, indicating a higher likelihood of thunderstorm development in that area.
