Thunderstorm Advisory Issued for Parts of Northern Luzon
PAGASA warns of heavy rains, lightning, and strong winds in several La Union towns.

According to PAGASA, a thunderstorm advisory was issued at 6:03 AM on July 19, 2026, warning of moderate to heavy rainshowers, lightning, and strong winds across several provinces in Northern Luzon. The state weather bureau announced that these weather conditions are expected to occur within one to two hours, bringing potential hazards to affected communities.
In La Union, the advisory specifically covers multiple municipalities and the provincial capital. Residents in these areas are advised to prepare for sudden heavy downpours and gusty winds.

- City of San Fernando
- Bauang
- Caba
- San Juan
- Bacnotan
- Luna
- Balaoan
- Bangar
PAGASA warned that the weather system could trigger flash floods, landslides, mudslides, and rockslides, particularly for communities situated along mountain slopes. Similar weather conditions are also expected in parts of Pangasinan, Cagayan, Ilocos Sur, and Abra.
The general weather outlook for the region indicates cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms throughout the day. Temperatures are expected to range between 25°C and 31°C, with light to moderate winds blowing from the southwest.
