Southwest Monsoon Brings Light to Heavy Rains Across Northern Luzon

La Union towns face moderate to heavy rainfall with landslide risks over next 3 hours due to TS Inday

According to PAGASA, light to moderate rains are expected over most La Union towns including Bacnotan, Bagulin, Balaoan, Bangar, Burgos, Caba, Luna, Naguilian, Rosario, SanGabriel, SanJuan, SantoTomas, Santol, and Sudipen within the next 2 to 3 hours due to the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat). Meanwhile, moderate to heavy rains are currently being experienced in coastal La Union areas such as Agoo, Aringay, Bauang, Pugo, City Of San Fernando, and Tubao, which may persist for 2 to 3 hours and affect nearby communities.

Residents and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices are advised to monitor weather conditions closely and watch for the next warning at 11:00 AM today. Precautionary measures against hazards like landslides, mudslides, rockslides, and flash floods are critical, especially for those living along mountain slopes.
