Over 30 Families Evacuate in Pangasinan Due to Rising River Waters

The PNA reported that 36 families in Pangasinan preemptively evacuated their homes on Tuesday due to rising river water levels caused by intense rainfall.
Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) operations chief Vincent Chiu stated that 19 of the displaced families are from Alaminos City, while 17 are from Bani.
“The families are still staying in evacuation centers,” Chiu said, adding that no casualties or injuries have been reported.
Chiu noted that a mini landslide occurred in Bolinao, though all provincial and national roads across Pangasinan remain fully passable.
Flooding has been reported in the following areas:
- Dagupan City
- Bolinao
- Labrador
- Lingayen
- Pozorrubio
- Balungao
The provincial government is executing localized class and work suspensions, leaving cancellation decisions to individual municipal and city leadership based on local conditions.
“We remain under blue alert status probably until Thursday,” Chiu said.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Pangasinan faces an estimated heavy rainfall outlook of 100 millimeters to 200 millimeters until Wednesday noon due to a low-pressure area and the enhanced southwest monsoon.
